The blood after intestinal absorption is transported to the liver via the portal vein, which not only carries nutrients but also multiple toxic substances including alcohol, drugs, pharmaceuticals, and toxins to the liver. As a result, the liver is susceptible to toxicity and damage [1]. The detoxification process of the liver is highly efficient, but during the process, the liver generates free radicals, which damage the liver over the long –term.
Several factors can inhibit liver function, including a diet high in trans-fat and preservatives, exposure to environmental toxins, and consuming too much alcohol. A stressed liver can cause problems with digestion, detoxification, and even difficulty losing weight. Our Liver Health is formulated for daily liver protection along with long-term liver health.

Mode of Action
Liver protection repair:
- Milk Thistle has both hepatoprotective and regenerative actions. It helps in the reduction of the free radicals formed by toxins that damage the cell membranes [1]
- Prevents the activation of the inflammasomes, and NF-kB, which are important in regulating the immune response in inflammatory states [3].
- May augment the generation of glutathione in the liver via an increase in substrate availability (i.e. cysteine) for its biosynthesis, which subsequently contributes to the enhancement of its antioxidant capacity in liver tissues [4]
Antioxidant action:
- Curcumin is very well known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
- Curcumin exerts its anti-oxidant actions by protecting the liver from Carbon Tetrachloride (CCl4 is one of the causes of liver damage, developing fibrosis, and further cirrhosis. CCl4 initiates cell damage by producing free radicals and increasing collagen synthesis through the lipid peroxidation mechanism) induced liver injury by reducing oxidative stress, inhibiting lipid peroxidation, and increasing glutathione peroxidase activation [2].
Anti-inflammatory and Digestive Action:
- Ginger powder is well known for its digestive aids and GI tract protection.
- Promote the elimination of intestinal gas to prevent bloating and flatulence.
- Has intestinal spasmolytic properties which relax the gastrointestinal muscles to soothe an upset stomach.
- Ginger inhibits inflammatory markers.
